You’ve all been so patient, and here’s your reward: the winners of Keepsake Quilting Fabric for Life 2015.
Grand Prize Winner – Fabric for Life (52 yards of fabric from KeepsakeQuilting.com each year for 20 years) is Shana Hendrickson of Frederica, Delaware.
“I never win anything!” Shana said when we told her she’d won Fabric for Life. Nevertheless, she has plenty of plans for all that fabric.
“I’ll work on those projects that have been sitting on my bookcase. I have a couple dogs, so I’m always making them sweatshirts, booties and bandanas,” she said. “My friends say they have the best-dressed dogs in the neighborhood. I’m always making stuff for them too.”
But it wasn’t just the dogs that won. ”I sew some of my own clothes too!” she said.
Mildred Deas of Sherwood Forest, Calif., won the First Place prize, a Lyric Machine from Baby Lock.
“Any of these prizes is a real treasure if you’re a quilter,” said Mildred. She expects to use her new Lyric for her local classes, because it’s lightweight and easy to carry.
Jillian Grant, of Springfield, Missouri, will receive the Second Place prize: a GO! Big® Block on Board® Starter Pack from AccuQuilt.
“My quilts are made for family or for competitions. I’ve used the AccuQuilt system before and incorporated it into my own designs. Mostly I will use it because I have a long list of family members who have requested quilts,” she said. Don’t we all?
In Third Place, we have 5 Winners of fabric packages from Moda, Clothworks, Studio E Fabrics, Henry Glass and Quilting Treasures. They are:
Marilyn Williams, Sequim WA
Delores Cook, Springfield IL
Laurie Rush, Orange CA
Kassie Johnson, Holbrook AZ
Jeniffer Smith, Elk Grove CA
Thanks you to everyone who entered, plus Baby Lock, AccuQuilt, Moda, Clothworks, Quilting Treasures, and Studio E Fabrics for their fabulous prizes.
